You may be familiar with the Gorham brand through their flatware, which is still in production today (albeit no longer made from sterling silver). Gorham was founded in Providence, RI in 1831 and was the largest US silverware manufacturer during the 19th century. The company also dabbled in sterling silver jewelry and gift items like this adorable stick pin! While this pin looks more like a fish, it is in fact a rendering of a "dolphin"...or what people assumed dolphins looked like in the early 1900s! This charming little sea monster measures 1.8cm x 2cm (a little under an inch) and is on a 2.5 inch stick pin. It comes included with a functional pin stopper which is not sterling. Total weight without stopper is 4.5grams. This quirky piece would make a perfect pendant conversion and would also look fabulous as-is, worn as a lapel pin! As is almost always my preference with older pieces like this, I have chosen to leave the patina; however once this piece is yours, you may choose to polish it to a brand new silver shine!
All pieces will be sent with tracking and insurance. A signature will be required for delivery for added security. Sales are final, however, if there is a problem, please contact me ASAP so I can resolve the issue. I want all of my customers to love these jewels as much as I do!.
