Iolite is a gorgeous, transparent, violet-colored stone. It is pleochroic, which means that it appears to be different colors depending on the angle from which it's viewed. It is said that iolite was used by the Vikings as the first polarized, light filtering lens. On overcast days, they would look through a thin piece of iolite so they could locate the sun and chart their route. This unique ring features a cabochon cut center stone, surrounded by single cut brilliants. The cabochon really highlights the color change feature of the stone and reminds me of a mysterious crystal ball. I also love the contrast between the two different kinds of cuts. The face of the ring measures 1.6cm across and rises 1cm from the top of the finger. It is a size 7 and can be easily sized by your local jeweler.
All pieces will be sent with tracking and insurance. A signature will be required for delivery for added security. Sales are final, however, if there is a problem, please contact me ASAP so I can resolve the issue. I want all of my customers to love these jewels as much as I do!.
