Ring

Songbird Sara Jewelry

This stunning and unique antique ring c.1890s-1900s was sourced from an Asheville, NC estate not far from the Biltmore House which was completed in 1895. It's fascinating to learn about the amazing parties and high society functions that were going on in that area around the time when this ring was made and worn. This unique piece is made of 14k white gold and features an incredible eye clean, near colorless Old European Cut center diamond measuring 4mm in diameter (approximately .35cts) with an exquisite fiery cut, flowery facet pattern, and TONS of sparkle. It is surrounded by 4 smaller Old European Cut diamonds each measuring 2.5mm in diameter. There are 2 more very small diamonds on the beautifully engraved shoulders. There is evidence of one repair on one of the side stone prongs. The repaired prong is yellow gold and a little larger than the others, but it's hard to see unless you are looking for it. There is some evidence of a few small dents in the filigree, but again, these are hard to notice and do not compromise the structural integrity. Your local jeweler can easily re-tip the prongs if you wish. This is a common maintenance repair with jewelry that has been around for well over 100 years! This ring is currently a size 6.5 and can be resized by your local jeweler.
