These beautiful earrings are named in honor of Renata Tebaldi (1922-2004), an iconic operatic soprano with "the voice of an angel"! Audiences have always loved a rivalry (whether grounded in fact or embellished for dramatic effect), and in the minds of opera fans during the mid 20th century, no rivalry was more divalicious than the one between Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi. One thing that we can say for sure is that both of these exquisite and iconic divas shared a deep love of fine jewelry! These vintage diamond and ruby clip earrings are created in one of Tebaldi's favorite styles, and there are many photos of her wearing similar pieces. These beautiful earrings c.1950s-1960s are crafted from 14k white gold and feature 30 natural rubies with a total carat weight of 2.50ctw. They are set off beautifully by 24 round brilliant cut diamonds with a total carat weight of 0.55ctw, H/I color, VS1/VS2 clarity, and Good to Very Good cut. While these earrings are still in their original clip form, it would be very easy for a trusted jeweler to convert them to post/omega backs. In their existing form, they can also be worn as dress clips! These earrings come from the estate of a prominent physician who was a pioneer in her field.
All pieces will be sent with tracking and insurance. A signature will be required for delivery for added security. Sales are final, however, if there is a problem, please contact me ASAP so I can resolve the issue. I want all of my customers to love these jewels as much as I do!.
