This stunning retro ring c. 1940s features an impressive synthetic blue spinel in an emerald cut with dramatic clipped corners! The use of synthetic (lab created) spinel is very common in pieced from this era and provides a snapshot of the aesthetic and style of the time. The 14k setting featured dramatic tab prongs and lotus frond details, and is an amazing rosy yellow gold which is not quite pink enough to be rose gold, but has a really warm glow. It is extremely flattering on skin with warm or cool undertones. The spinel measures 15.56mm x 12.09mm x 6.17mm with an estimated carat weight of 10.56cts! It has some small abrasions commensurate with age and generations of love, but these do not detract from its beauty. It is in really wonderful vintage conditions! This ring is currently a size 7 and can be easily sized by your local jeweler.
