Late Victorian Era Antique Cushion Cut Diamond and Amethyst Pansy Ring. This incredibly unique and rare yellow gold, diamond, and amethyst pansy ring dates back to the late Victorian era and was most likely a button or brooch when it was first made. The face of the ring is a substantial 1.8cm x 1.9cm with a ton of finger coverage. The top of the ring tests at 18k and has a beautiful patina. The 14k ring shank was likely added later so this piece could be worn as a ring. The 10 antique cushion cut diamonds are clear, bright, and have the most beautiful facet patterns with so much sparkle! They remind me of little pillows and add up to around 1 carat total weight! There is a chip in one of the carved amethysts (see photos). Theoretically, this could be polished out at the discretion of the next owner, but for a piece this old, I prefer to embrace this as a lovely symbol of the many lives this ring has lived rather than compromise the integrity of this piece of history. This ring is currently a size 7.5 and can be easily sized by your local jeweler (or by mine, if you like).
All pieces will be sent with tracking and insurance. A signature will be required for delivery for added security. Sales are final, however, if there is a problem, please contact me ASAP so I can resolve the issue. I want all of my customers to love these jewels as much as I do!.
