This stunning 14k gold late Art Deco ring (c.1930s) features a beautiful blue spinel in an enchanting rectangular scissor cut. It measures 12.07mm x 10.04 x 5.38mm with an estimated calculated weight of 6.48cts. At its highest point, the ring rises 7.04mm from the top of the finger. Given what we know about jewelry trends of this era, it is likely that this spinel is lab-created, as was popular during the time. The stone is in fantastic vintage condition with only a few very small abrasions on some of the facet junctions. These small flaws are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. They are hard to perceive unless you are looking very closely. The spinel is flanked by two small diamonds, set in a white gold with double milgrain details. The rest of the setting is yellow gold. The stone wiggles a bit in its prongs, but is not in danger of falling out anytime soon. It can be easily tightened by your local jeweler. This ring is currently a size 6.75 and can be easily sized.
