This beautiful antique Victorian brooch c. 1850s-1860s was made in the Etruscan Revival/Moorish Revival style and features beautifully detailed engraving throughout with taille d'épargne enamel. It is named for the character Azucena in Verdi's Il trovatore, which premiered in 1853. It is crafted from 14k gold which has a beautiful patina and a slightly rosy hue (thought not as pink as some). It measures 3.5cm x 3.5cm (1.44" x 1.44") and weighs 7.3  grams.
