These gorgeous earrings date back to the 1940s when the use of platinum was prohibited for non-military usage and jewelers turned to platinum's close cousin, palladium! Palladium is a gorgeous and durable metal, but is much more labor-intensive (and expensive) to work with than platinum or gold, which is one of the reasons that it is not commonly used in jewelry today. These romantic drop earrings are 1.25" long and contain an estimated .30ctw of single cut diamonds (estimated G/H), and 4 small carré cut rubies which have a stunning raspberry color. Under magnification you can see some small abrasions commensurate with age, but they are not easily apparent to the naked eye. Most of the diamonds are very clear, although one is fairly cloudy. It is not all that noticable because it is a very small diamond and has a substantial bezel around it. The leverbacks are secure and comfortable and each earring weighs 2.32 grams.
All pieces will be sent with tracking and insurance. A signature will be required for delivery for added security. Sales are final, however, if there is a problem, please contact me ASAP so I can resolve the issue. I want all of my customers to love these jewels as much as I do!.
