This absolutely divine and romantic ring c.1920s-1930s marries the best of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles. While this setting shape is common in Art Deco style rings, we mostly see them in white metals with geometric or garland style filigree. This ring features beautiful open work with crisp lotus blossom motifs on the side, which were quite popular in Art Nouveau jewelry. Though they have worn down over time, you can still make out whispers of the orange blossom motif carved into the shoulders and band. This ring has gorgeous heft to it, weighing 2.3 grams. The star of this gorgeous ring is the old European cut diamond held aloft amidst the lotuses. It measures 4.13mm in diameter with an estimated weight of 0.38cts. It has that luscious floral facet pattern that we love in an old European cut, and features a delightful large and visible culet! It looks icy white in its yellow gold setting and is eye clean, though there is a carbon inclusion that is visible under magnification. The setting is 7mm at its widest, 1.5mm at its narrowest, and rises 6.5mm from the top of the finger. It is currently a size 5 and can be easily sized by your local jeweler.
