Songbird Sara Jewelry

Myth has it that the very first purple dye, known as "Tyrian purple" or "Phoenician purple" was discovered by none other than Hercules's dog, who found a Murex snail on the shore and chewed it up, revealing the purple pigment in his mouth. The extremely valuable, prestigious pigment resulted in a purple color much like the hue of this beautiful color change sapphire: a rich purple with shades of red, pink, and blue.

This regal vintage ring, crafted between the 1950s and 1970s features a gorgeous lab created, radiant cut, purple color change sapphire, measuring 18.00 x 13.42 x 6.21mm with a calculated weight of 15ct. It is held in a stunning and substantial rope-style setting with unique and secure triple prongs, and a stunning rope design on the gallery. It feels regal on the hand, with a weight of 9.6 grams. The face of the ring measures 20 x 18mm and it rises 9mm from the top of the finger. It is currently a size 7 and easily sized by a trusted jeweler. This ring has been evaluated and appraised by an Appraiser/GIA Graduate Gemologist at a value of $1,000 and comes with an appraisal which will be made out in the name of the buyer.
