Have you ever seen a cuter snake!? This mid century vintage (c. 1960s) 14k and enamel snake is the conversation starter for the ages! This friendly serpent deserved a friendly and lovable namesake, so I named it for the main character in Malcom Fox's 1977 children's opera, "Sit the Serpent Who Wanted To Sing", about a snake who wants to be a singer! The enamel on this vintage ring is in excellent condition with only a small area of enamel loss, commensurate with age. The total weight of this statement making ring is an incredibly chunky 8.47 grams! At its widest (across the head and body) it is 17mm and at its narrowest (bottom on the band) it is 4.34mm. It is a size 5.75 on the mandrel and can fit up to a size 6 finger. While sizing beads can be added to give it a slightly smaller fit and/or to keep it from rotating on the hand, traditional sizing is not advised due to the beautiful enamel work and the damage to it that opening the band would cause.
