This dreamy Edwardian ring c.1900s-1910s is named for Debussy's opera Pelléas et Mélisande which premiered at the Opéra-Comique in Paris in 1902. It is crafted from 18k gold and platinum and features 0.95ctw in gorgeous old cut diamonds. The two crown jewels in this beauty are two Old European Cut diamonds with calculated total weight of 0.80ctw, H/I color, and VS1/VS2 clarity. They are gorgeously cut with chunky floral facets, large culets, and so much fire! They are separated by a small bezel set Old European Cut diamond, and surrounded by bead set single cut diamonds. The face of the ring is icy platinum which sets off the diamonds beautifully, and the 18k gold band and gallery is a deliciously buttery warm yellow gold color. Every detail is superb, from its fine milgrain to the swirled carving on the sides of the shoulder. This ring came from the estate of a prominent family in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It is currently a size 6.25 and can be easily sized by a trusted jeweler.
