This spectacular Georgian brooch was made during the late 18th century, around the time when Mozart was writing one of his most beloved operas, Così fan tutte. I named this incredible piece for the character Fiordiligi. This brooch features an estimated 1.10ctw of rustic rose cut diamonds of H/I color and VS1/VS2 clarity. They glimmer with an absolutely enchanting, mercurial quality. The brooch is crafted from 14k rose gold topped with silver and has a beautiful patina that has developed over the 230-240 years that this piece has been in existence. This is a truly sensational piece of jewelry history with so many delectable details. The brooch measures 1.25" x 1.25" and weighs 8.3 grams. This piece has been evaluated and appraised by an Appraiser/GIA Graduate Gemologist with decades of experience in antique jewelry at a value of $3,750 and comes with an appraisal which will be made out in the name of the buyer.
